Friends of Victoria Park are leading the project to establish a fernery in the quarry area. Several seasons of planting have taken place and its looking quite good. A further phase of infil planting is planned for 2022, along with some information boards and a dedicated website.
We hold regular gardening sessions in the fernery area. We meet at the Fossil House, generally on the 1st Saturday of the month from 10-12. No experience or tools required. Check Friends of Victoria Park Facebook page for details. If you don’t fancy digging, we will be doing some litter picking and general tidying around the area too.
